The Friends of the Kindred Public Library sponsored the 2nd Annual History Week event on October 13 thru 15. This year’s focus event was the Vietnam War.
At the Monday night Books Review, Joe Onstad began the book discussion with “Born on the 4th of July”. As a Vietnam Veteran, Joe brought his personal experiences to the discussion.
On Wednesday October 15th, we had an All American Meal of hot dogs and apple pie. There was a slide presentation by Larry Lund. Larry is a native of Kindred and also served in the Vietnam War. Other Veterans shared their stories.
Throughout the week, books and items focusing on the Vietnam War were on display at the Library.
